Balboa, towards the end of the peninsula, when I was UCI student from '07 - '08. TK Burgers was a regular spot for us on the weekends, romping on the beach. I left California after graduating, but work just so happened to bring me back to the area. Walking in there, for the first time in 15 years, felt like I warped back to my college days. The decor, the food, the vibes, all remained the same. Was so happy to experience it again. At the risk of sounding sappy, TK holds a special place and I was grateful to see they've held onto those roots and are still serving up great food, at a reasonable price, right off the beach. You can get a whole meal thst tastes even better, for less than the cost of a single burger at Five Guys. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Newport. ”
